What is Blue Mt. Fuji Curry® ?
This curry is a faithful reproduction of Mount Fuji.
The curry is made to resemble mountain slopes with blue curry, sea of trees with pickles, and lava with fried onions.
Since April 2018, it has been available on the menu of "Fujisan LAVACAFE" located inside the Yamanashi Prefectural Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center.
Since we started offering this dish, more and more customers have been coming to our restaurant to try it, and it has proven extremely popular.
We have received many comments from customers who visit our store saying, "We'd love to buy it as a souvenir!" and "Please commercialize it!", so in response to those requests, we have decided to commercialize Blue Mt. Fuji Curry.

Why is curry blue?
The story behind the birth of Blue Mt. Fuji Curry®
There are many dishes on the market that are called "Mount Fuji Curry."
However, most "Mt. Fuji curry" is a simple dish that consists of rice cut into the shape of Mt. Fuji and curry poured over it.
If we're going to make Mt. Fuji curry, we want it to look and feel as close to the real Mt. Fuji as possible!
With this simple idea in mind, production of "Blue Mt. Fuji Curry® " began around November 2017.
First, we researched the colors that evoke images of Mount Fuji.The most representative colors of Mount Fuji are the "white" of the snow and the "blue" of the mountainside.
After much trial and error, I came up with the idea of making a "blue" curry by taking advantage of the "white" part of the rice.
From this point on, we went through a process of trial and error to find the best way to make the curry "blue" and give it a vibrant color.
However, how do you turn brown curry "green"?
I began to struggle with how to achieve a vibrant color like a beautiful Tiffany blue.
So after much deliberation and consideration, we finally managed to come up with the vibrant Tiffany blue color that we have today, and to recreate the color of Mount Fuji's mountainside.
This color scheme allowed us to recreate the image of the real Mt. Fuji.
A unique Mt. Fuji curry, "Blue Mt. Fuji Curry® " was born.
