What is the "Shingen Festival"?
The "Shingen Festival" is a festival to commemorate Takeda Shingen, one of the most famous generals of the Sengoku period, who was based in Kai Province (present-day Yamanashi Prefecture). It is held every year on the weekend around April 12th, the anniversary of Shingen's death.
The 51st event will be held from Friday, April 4th to Sunday, April 6th in 2025.
The biggest highlight is the "Koshu Army Departure," which recreates the marching of the "Battle of Kawanakajima." In the 50th festival, actress Ai Tominaga appeared as the first woman to play Lord Shingen, which caused a big stir. For the 51st festival, the role of Lord Shingen will be played by former Takarazuka Revue top star Jun Shibuki. Every year, the sight of over 1,000 participants parading around in armor, centered around Lord Shingen, is truly spectacular.
Products developed entirely in Yamanashi
This product was developed by three companies: the Yamanashi Tourism Organization, a public interest incorporated association that has been operating as a "Japanese version of DMO" since 2017, a tourism promotion organization promoted by the national and prefectural governments in order to make Yamanashi's tourism industry an industry that creates higher added value; Fujisan Products, which develops and sells products, goods, and souvenirs related to Mount Fuji, Yamanashi, and other areas; and Far Yeast Brewing, a notable craft beer maker that has won numerous awards in competitions.

Characteristics: A saison type beer with a sharp rye taste. Enjoy the fruity aroma and the hop bitterness is subdued, making it extremely easy to drink. The color is a slightly cloudy, very pale gold. This craft beer has a rich, foamy foam that lasts a long time. The color of the label is very impressive, reminiscent of the "Aka-migi" elite troops, whose uniformed red armor is synonymous with the Takeda army.
BREWERY
From among the many breweries, we visited breweries both in and outside Yamanashi Prefecture, explained the project to the brewers, and had repeated negotiations with more than a dozen breweries. In the selection process, the most important factors were the taste and the brewery's attitude.
During these various business negotiations, we held repeated meetings both within the company and with our partners.
It had all the flavor, the brewery's attitude, and all the other relative aspects.
