The latest addition to the "Blue Mt. Fuji" series, which has produced a string of hit products such as blue curry and blue beer drinks! "Blue Mt. Fuji Chocolate Crunch," which perfectly recreates Mt. Fuji in color and appearance, will be released on April 20th
The "Blue Mt. Fuji Chocolate Crunch" not only recreates the shape, but also the beautiful mountain surface with blue chocolate and the white snow on the summit with white chocolate. Another feature is that it uses "rice puffs" made with domestic rice flour for the crunch, to express Japan's "rice culture." It is a chocolate crunch with a unique texture that sets it apart from ordinary crunch chocolates that use cookies or nuts.
Fujisan Products (office location: Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture; CEO: Shimizu Eiichi) will begin selling the newest product, "Blue Mt. Fuji Chocolate Crunch," on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, as the fifth in the "Blue Mt. Fuji" series, which brings to the world unique foods and beverages that focus on the "blue" of the mountainside of Mount Fuji, Japan's symbol.

> Sales of "Blue Mt. Fuji (fresh)," released in January, exceeded expectations and sales were temporarily suspended after just one month.
"Blue Mount Fuji" is a series produced by Mount Fuji Products, a company that plans, develops, and sells products, souvenirs, and menus related to Mount Fuji.
It was born from a strong desire to widely convey the appeal of Mount Fuji, a treasure that Japan can be proud of around the world, which was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.
The one that attracted the most attention in the series was the "Blue Mount Fuji Curry."
Due to the difference between its appearance and taste, it became a hot topic on social media and quickly gained popularity.
In 2021, a collaboration version with "Laid-Back Camp△," which depicts the camping life of high school girls living in Yamanashi Prefecture, was also released.
In addition, for the first time in the series, they are also trying their hand at beer-based drinks.
"Blue Fujisan (Raw)", released in January 2022, has been selling so well that production could not keep up with demand in just one month, forcing sales to be temporarily suspended.

> Incorporating Japanese rice culture into the crunch, the "rice puffs" are used to create a unique crunchy texture
The latest addition to the series is the " Blue Mt. Fuji Chocolate Crunch ."
In addition to the shape of Mt. Fuji, the chocolate also recreates the snow and mountainside of Mt. Fuji.
In addition, by adding a plant-derived blue pigment to the chocolate, a visual reminiscent of the beautiful mountainside of Mount Fuji is recreated.
This blue pigment is a plant-based edible blue pigment called "Linablue" manufactured by DIC Corporation (Chuo-ku, Tokyo).
The shape and color are both adorable. As the latest addition to the series, we have created a chocolate snack that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
Another big thing we paid special attention to was recreating the lava of Mt. Fuji with "rice puffs" made from domestically produced rice flour. By mixing this into the chocolate, we created Rice Puff Crunch Chocolate.
While most crunchy chocolates use cookies or nuts as the crunch ingredients, "Blue Mt. Fuji Chocolate Crunch" uses rice puffs to incorporate Japanese food culture into the crunch. You can enjoy a new light and crunchy texture.
It was originally scheduled to be released on Valentine's Day, but the release date was postponed.
Blue Mt. Fuji Chocolate Crunch was originally scheduled to be released in time for the Valentine's Day shopping season on February 14, 2022 .
However, after deciding on the release date, we had the opportunity to meet with a representative from DIC Corporation, the supplier of the coloring materials, at an exhibition, where we heard from the representative that they would like us to use their (DIC) food colorings. After further discussion within Fujisan Product the next day, we decided that we wanted to respond to their wishes even if it meant postponing the release date. We made repeated prototypes using new materials and completed the product.
〉Future developments
This product comes in a pack of 6, but we are considering releasing a pack of 12 depending on sales and other factors.
In addition, they are considering releasing "Red Mt. Fuji Chocolate Crunch" and plan to further strengthen their efforts in promoting the appeal of Mt. Fuji.
