    The long-awaited "Kofu Basin Curry" is now available

    The cooking method for this product is to warm it in a hot water bath for about 5 minutes before eating.

  • The first "Kofu New Menu Recipe Contest" was held in March 2019.
    To ensure that trips to Kofu remain fond memories forever, we are calling for recipes that are inspiring and use certified ingredients from Kofu City, including grapes (Shine Muscat).
    After a judging session involving tasting the products, one Grand Prize winner, two runner-up prize winners, and seven encouragement prize winners were selected.
    The winner of the grand prize was Yakubukuro Risa's "Kofu Basin Curry."
    It was created by combining agricultural and forestry products that Kofu City is proud of: "Curly spinach," "Kimihime sweet corn," and "Koshu local chicken."
    The corn fried rice was arranged in a doughnut shape to represent mountains, boiled spinach was placed around it to represent a forest, and the curry was poured in the middle to represent a basin. The excellent presentation was also a deciding factor in its positive evaluation.

    Kofu New Menu Recipe Contest Grand Prize Winner

    Kofu Basin Curry uses ingredients such as Koshu local chicken and Kimihime sweet corn, which are specialties of Kofu City, and is a medium-spicy curry with just the right amount of spices, a mild flavor from the sweetness of the vegetables and curry spices.

    The firm meat of Koshu Jidori chicken retains its firm texture even when simmered, and the crunchy texture of the Kimihime sweet corn makes this a curry that will whet your appetite.

    Also, presentation is also a recent trend, and you can enjoy arranging the food by referring to the presentation examples printed on the back of the packaging.

    We would like to serve you a dish where the rice is arranged in a donut shape to create the appearance of a basin on the plate, with curry roux placed in the middle and the rice is decorated with sautéed or boiled spinach to create the appearance of the mountains and trees of the basin.
