"BENINUKA Beninuka" rice bran starter with wine pumice will be on sale from September 15th

Products jointly developed with Yamafuji

September 15, 2022

We have started selling a product that we developed in collaboration with Yamafuji Co., Ltd.

In fact, about 10,000 tons of "wine pumice," which refers to the skins and seeds of grapes left over after squeezing during winemaking, are discarded annually. We started to commercialize this product in order to make effective use of this material. Wine pumice is rich in polyphenols and is also effective in anti-aging. This new product can be used to make a variety of ingredients, including regular vegetables, tomatoes, avocados, tofu, and cheese, delicious just by adding water.

Yamafuji Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Representative Director: Fujio Yamamoto) will begin selling "BENINUKA Beninuka," a home rice bran bed for making pickled vegetables, containing "wine pumice," a powder made from grape skins and seeds that are often discarded during the wine brewing process, on Thursday, September 15, 2022.
