An original beer has been developed for the world's largest warrior procession, the Shingen Festival! Craft beer "SHINGEN RED" will be released in limited quantities of 1,200 bottles

The label, reminiscent of the "red armor" synonymous with the Takeda army, is very impressive. The beer was brewed by Far Yeast Brewing, a notable craft beer maker that has won numerous competitions. It will go on sale from Saturday, April 5th, and will be available for purchase at the "Shingen Festival" venue for two days only, Saturday, April 5th and Sunday, April 6th.

In order to make Yamanashi's tourism industry an industry that creates higher added value, the Yamanashi Tourism Organization (Headquarters: Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Chairman: Michihiro Nakata), a public interest incorporated association that has been operating as a "Japanese version of DMO" since 2017, a tourism promotion organization promoted by the national and prefectural governments, and Fujisan Products (Fonet Group, Headquarters: Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Representative: Eiichi Shimizu), which develops and sells products, souvenirs, etc. related to Mt. Fuji and Yamanashi, will sell a new product developed by "All Yamanashi" to commemorate the "51st Shingen Festival" to be held in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture from April 4th (Fri) to 6th (Sun), 2025. Shingen Festival Limited Craft Beer "SHINGEN RED" will be sold in a limited quantity of 1,200 bottles. Of these, 300 bottles will be sold at the festival venue.

The "Shingen Festival" is a festival to commemorate Takeda Shingen, one of the most famous generals of the Sengoku period, who was based in Kai Province (present-day Yamanashi Prefecture). It is held every year on the weekend around April 12th, the anniversary of Shingen's death, and the 51st festival will be held from April 4th (Fri) to 6th (Sun) in 2025.

The biggest highlight is the "Koshu Army Departure," which recreates the marching of the "Battle of Kawanakajima." In the 50th festival, actress Ai Tominaga appeared as the first woman to play the role of Lord Shingen, which caused a big stir. For the 51st festival, the role of Lord Shingen will be played by former Takarazuka Revue top star Jun Shibuki. Every year, the sight of more than 1,000 participants parading around in armor, centered around Lord Shingen, is truly a spectacular festival.

The completed product is "SHINGEN RED," a craft beer exclusive to the Shingen Festival, limited to 1,200 bottles.

This product is a saison type that is characterized by its dry and sharp taste.

It has a fruity aroma and the hop bitterness is moderate, making it extremely easy to drink.

The color is a very pale gold with a slightly cloudy finish.

We have created a craft beer with rich foam and long-lasting foam.

The color of the label is reminiscent of the "Aka-migi," an elite unit that was synonymous with the Takeda army and whose armor was all red, making it very impressive.

This product was made possible through a collaboration between the Yamanashi Tourism Organization and Far Yeast Brewing, which has a brewery in Yamanashi. Far Yeast Brewing is a notable craft beer maker that has won many awards in contests. The three companies worked together to create this product, hoping to promote Yamanashi.

Only 300 bottles will be available for sale at the Shingen Festival, but advance reservations will begin on Wednesday, March 26th at Yamanashi Prefecture's official online shop, the Fuji no Kuni Yamanashi Specialty Products Mall.

Then, from Saturday, April 5th, it will also be on sale at the Fujisan Plaza, a multipurpose antenna shop in front of Kawaguchiko Station. With only 1,200 bottles in total, it's a rare item that not only beer lovers but also fans of Lord Shingen will want to get their hands on.
