After much trial and error, they succeeded in recreating the beautiful blue color reminiscent of the mountainside of Mt. Fuji. This delicious citrus and berry flavored drink, brewed by the award-winning craft beer maker Far Yeast Brewing using natural water from Mt. Fuji, will be available nationwide from Friday, January 28th.
Fujisan Products (Phonet Group/headquarters: Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture; CEO: Shimizu Eiichi), which plans, develops, and sells various products and food related to Mt. Fuji, will release a blue beer-like beverage called "Blue Fujisan (draft)" on Friday, January 28, 2022, in partnership with liquor retailer Milex Japan Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture; CEO: Matsumura Masaki) and brewery Far Yeast Brewing Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Kitatsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture; CEO: Yamada Shiro).
Following the postponement of the release date, the new product, which has further enhanced the product's appeal and pursues a refreshing, light taste, will be sold primarily at department stores.

The creators of the popular "Blue Mt. Fuji Curry" try their hand at making a beer-based drink for the first time.
Mount Fuji was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2013.
In order to spread the appeal of Mount Fuji, which is both the name and the reality of the symbol of Japan, Fujisan Products plans, develops, and sells a wide variety of products, including souvenirs and food items, that are inspired by Mount Fuji.
The "Blue Mount Fuji Series" was a particular hit.
"Blue Mt. Fuji Curry" and "Blue Mt. Fuji Curry Bread" are unique products that combine visual impact with flavor and have been generating a lot of buzz, especially on social media.
Recently, the series has also released collaborative products with Pokemon, Lawson, Laid-Back Camp△, and more, making it a product series that has attracted attention from a variety of industries.
The latest addition to the "Blue Mt. Fuji Series," "Blue Mt. Fuji (draft)," is their first attempt at a beer-based beverage.
Through repeated trial and error, we have recreated the beautiful blue color of Mt. Fuji in the beverage liquid. The bubbles represent the snow on Mt. Fuji. In addition, natural water from Mt. Fuji is used for the brewing water.
We commissioned Far Yeast Brewing, a talented craft beer maker with numerous awards, to brew this beer, and they used their advanced skills and in-bottle fermentation technique to create this masterpiece.
The release, originally scheduled for fall 2020, has been postponed, and the ingredients have been revised to create an even more refreshing flavor.
In fact, "Blue Fujisan Raw" was originally scheduled for release in October 2020.
However, a problem suddenly occurred during the final manufacturing process.
Due to our strong desire to only offer products that are absolutely reliable, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the release.
We have also begun reviewing our ingredients in order to deliver products of higher quality.
After a further year and three months, they succeeded in creating a beautiful, vibrant blue color and citrus and berry flavors reminiscent of Yamanashi's signature grape, Shine Muscat. The total time it took from the concept and planning stage was two and a half years.
It has a dry, light taste that is easy for anyone to drink and is widely loved.
The main sales outlets are expected to be department stores across the country.
We plan to partner with the main distributor, Milex Japan, and other wholesalers to expand domestically as well as export overseas.

With this commercialization, we are considering offering it not only in bottles at restaurants, but also in barrels for commercial use. We plan to conduct test sales and other activities to see what the demand is, and then expand into barrel production.
